Meet Michelle

Michelle Riggen-Ransom has been a writer since she could hold a pen, a crafty marketer, a passionate tech start-up founder, and a lifelong teller of stories. A graduate of the UW’s MFA program in creative writing, Michelle is currently based in Seattle where she got her start-up chops at Amazon.com. After Amazon, she co-founded her own tech company while raising two children.

Michelle has written for diverse publications from parenting blogs to BusinessWeek and dozens of places in between. She’s also worked as a PR and communications consultant for MailChimp, helping them share their stories through press, conferences and events, and as a writer for the 10up agency.

In 2016, Michelle returned to Amazon to write and produce original content for Alexa, and to create engaging customer experiences with music. Ask Alexa “Tell me a story about baseball” to hear one of her multi-media scripts come to life!

Having left the corporate world to focus on her passion for small business, Michelle is excited to help emerging companies tell their stories in creative ways that will drive customer engagement, increase sales, and build brand awareness.
